Default hose leak

I just installed the steering gear on my 1976 corvette. The hose is as tight as I can get it but it still leaks at the steering gear.

a 1976 Corvette is a C3, this is the C2 forum.
the steering box on a 1976 has no hoses attached to it so not sure what part you are referring to, the pump, the steering control valve, or the cylinder. Disconnect whatever hose you are referring to and check the fitting and the seat.

You also did a double post

Two threads, should be in C3.

I'll move this one to C3 and close the other.
