Will the hood from a 1978 corvette pace car fit a 1980 corvette base model without modification?

Surprised no one tried to help. Ecklers sells hoods that fit 1977 thru 82 vettes. I would assume this means no problemo with your swap. The question I have do any hoods "fit" even the same year cars anymore. The bodies on these old vettes seem to have warped badly over time and require quite a bit of fitting, cutting, glassing and building up for things to line up. Gone are the days when guys said no filler used. Entire body skim coats of bondo and mass quantities of spray poly are the norm now.
