The VIN decoder link tells you next to nothing. Try putting the VIN in Google.

if this car is in the middle east why all the rust underneath?
why is the engine coated with a fine dust, is that normal for the climate?
looks like none of the steering components have ever been lubricated.
there is evidence of over spray on the spare tire compartment, was the car rear ended?
shocks are old and bushings dry rotted.

the car from Connecticut and it's been parked for awhile... agree on the shocks and suspensions set rusty.. original color was silver it was painted red around a year ago... interiors been renovated that's according to owner.
Im hesitant to decide on this one looks like a lot of work involved. Any thoughts?

I would do a search on the forum "crossfire injection". Become familiar with it, understand the good and bad of it. There were just two years with that system, 82 and 84. Good luck Bill

Yep I noticed.. Donno why would anyone tamper with originality!

Anyway as usual thanks all for the valuable feedback. Don't think I'll go with this one I guess one of the main thing in buying a C3 or any other vette is maintaining originality. Plus this one requires a lot of work and $ to bring it back to original.

Couple of gold Trans Am's in the background of one of the pics...in Abu Dhabi??? What's up with that? Was this a "hot rod" dealership of some sort?
