No reason to change the filter. In the 70's, Chevrolet recommended using different grades oil, anywhere from 5W-20 up to 20W-50, depending on the expected air temperatures the car would be operating in. The recommended filter with all grades was the AC Delco PF-25, or equivalent.
Weeeelll....not all filters are created equal. Some companies advertise this or that micron filtering...meh!
The most significant is an 'anti-drainback control valve'. The cheaper filters do not have this.
So, what does this do?...it keeps the oil in the galleries longer (not forever) after shut-down, so on restart the oil P comes up quicker.
Another **** thing to do if you plan on keeping your car for 10 to 20 years or longer is changing the trans fluid after the first 500 or 1,000 miles. Most of the crud floating in your trans oil is from the machining and case of the trans when new.
I use any decent brand and don't worry about it because I change the filter 1/2 way between oil changes (@ 2000 miles of usage) and add a quart of oil. The oil shows minimal wear by the time the 4,000 oil change rolls around.
I use AC Delco oil filters in all of my Corvettes. They are reasonably prices, and I have never had a problem with one in hundreds of thousands of miles. Close to half a million miles.

In my experience changing oil filters for 45+ years, regardless of what I've owned, I normally buy the cheapest one on the shelf which is probably a Fram or rebranded Fram. Never had a problem.

But I have a daily driver.
dd gets the cheapest oil in the store and a wix filter 180k and just fine
a higher dollar motor may spend a little more for good oil but going thick now dont see any gain for you just makes the oil pump work a little harder
