radiator is out!
But can't remove the transmission cooler line fittings...wd40 nor blowtorch helped...
Any tips?
Didn't find them online.
For the transmission cooler lines coming out of the radiator, just do a google search for '79 corvette transmission cooler lines'. I'm sure most of the vendors carry them - here's the Ecklers page: http://www.ecklerscorvette.com/trans...ing-lines.html
well, I hadn't thought about you having an auto with trans cooler lines. My 79 is a manual so I don't have that problem. you should have been able to just lift the shroud out now, with the radiator out, correct? Did you get the fan wire harness disconnected?
Yup, that shroud aint comin' out until the radiator is out! You can just unplug the wire connector for the electric fan on the passenger side fender well.
Remove radiator first. Preferably with two people. Or take the hood off and you can easily do it yourself.
Remove shroud and electric fan. The connector is on the right side inner fender down low. Trace the wires back from the fan.
