Default What would the signs be ?

Getting ready to install new intake . I just put a new carb on last year Quick Fuel HR 680 VS. The new intake suggests 650 to 800 carb . What do I look for if its not enough carb?

Unless you have a wild cam and heads and a motor built to race, you will rarely need more than 650 cfm on a small block. More people over-carb than under-carb.

The way you will know is if it falls on its face before reaching top end.

I believe the stock Rochester 4 bbl carb was 750 cfm, which is a spread bore design. IMHO, what you have now should be fine.
