If this is a true factory L-88 car, I would say it would be worth any amount of money spent to have it repainted the correct black. Now, what you need to do is exhaust every avenue to prove it is truly an L-88 car. Good luck and I'm crossing my fingers for you that it truly is what you say it is.

There is no engine identification in the VIN. Post pics of both stamps on the engine pad.

I managed to track down a previous owner yesterday and they confirmed the engine is not original to the the car so unfortunately it is just a car made to look like an L88.

That changes the whole deal significantly for me but still a cool car.
