1974 front urethane bumper
The front bumper on my 1974 Corvette is needing to be replaced. I would like to replace it with a OEM urethane bumper as opposed to the fiberglass or flex-fit ones. Ecklers offers two versions; one is the genuine GM part #25-100733-1 and the other is a reproduction of the original #25-295966-1 for half the price. (Both in links below) what I would like to know is if anyone has had any experience with either of these? Is there any noticeable difference in fit or quality?
Thanks

your third choice is to buy the GM part directly from a GM dealer

Well, now you, MelWff, made his decision even tuffer, lol, CB1974, you need to decide what you want out of it,,, looks, performance, ease of installation, price point, originality, then you can chose one, but IMHO, you will not get one that will do it all,,,,,

I didnt realize GM still made c-3 parts or is it old/OEM stock which in that case I'd stay away from.

I bought a mirror from GM restoration and it wasn't a original but , a mirror same as from a vendor. My first thought was someone took original and swapped in a repo in the warehouse.just sharing my experience.

My recommendation would be to see if the body shop can salvage your original depending on how bad of shape it's in.
If that's not an option, buy an original in good shape if you can. I speak from experience.
I bought what was supposedly the best you could buy back in 2005 when my car was going in for paint. It fit horribly, and would have cost a ton of time and $ to fit to the car. When I say horribly, I mean absolutely awful. Body shop fixed my orig. for no addt'l cost because they wanted it to look right.
