The turn signals on the 68 up and quit the other day. Snap the lever up or down, it engages but nothing happens, no indicator light, nothing. I tried the 4 way flashers and they work fine, all other lights work, headlights, tail lights, brake lights, backup lights, and side marker lights all work fine.
I checked the 20 amp fuse but it was good, changed it anyway, still no turn signals. Changed the flasher, still no turn signals. Finally against my better judgement I changed the turn signal switch and still no turn signals. The switch connector is fine and I tried jiggling the wires while operating the switch but still nothing.
I'm out of ideas, there's been no under dash work done lately so I'm stumped. It's a low mileage (37,000) car that's never been abused so I can't figure out what happened. Any and all help appreciated. Rich

your going to have to trace the power. It ould be the rear pigtail connectors or the rear harness connector at the fuse box. could be a cut wire under the carpet. start at the switch and check for power and work your way back.
I am having this same exact thing happening on my 73 (again). Since I am not good with electrical I sent my car to the shop last year because of this. The shop diagnosed it and said that there was a failed connection at the fuse box. They fixed it by removing the fuse box to clean and secure the terminals. It happened to me again just this past week. I will be sending my car back to the same shop to be fixed at no cost.
