Is this a humblebrag about not having a filthy engine compartment?

Otherwise, C3 logo hats.

2 shower caps? They do come in colors. You should be able to find something that compliments the color of your car.

Wow! I didn't know that could happen. I did Eleven years of car shows in "Sunny Texas" with this set up in my 74. I didn't do them every weekend but I know it was Quite a bit of them cause the Kids were having so much fun.

I saw it first hand. Sun reflects of the chrome air cleaner & heats the underside of the hood. I makes it hot enough to bubble the paint on the top. Makes a nice round ring in the paint. You can buy cloth covers for most old cars.

I have seen this happen with a C2.the air cleaner cover is flat causing the sun to magnify in a small spot. when mine reflects it's into 3 large circles

Then cover will refract the sunlight and will absolutely burn the fiberglass hood. It's the same effect as a magnifying glass used to start a fire with sunlight. Most cars have metal hoods and it's not an issue. Fiberglass will melt.

Get a cover that fits your air cleaner. Towels can blow off on a breezy day!

I saw a corvette at carlisle that had paint damage to the topside if the hood from this very issue. The owner explained what happened and i was shocked. I never thought a few hours in the sun could do that. He thought the same thing. I would get a cover if you are showing the car in the sun for hours on end.
