I ordered red line tires from Summit Racing as they have free shipping. Just beware of the date codes of when the tire was produced.

I'm starting to think Summit Racing is being used as an outlet for old and factory second tire stock. Had bad luck with tires from them.

The red lines I purchased from them were 6 months old and I've had no problem with them. All balanced and drive smooth.

I've checked out Db tires and basically they take a bf Goodrich and vulcanize a whitewall in my case 5/16 250 dollar a tire. Yikes.

I wanted white walls also on my 70 but they are hard to find and real pricey, I'm going with the white lettering

It's tough to find a thin white wall without going to one of the specialty tire makers.

How about a black wall tire and you "add" the thin white wall yourself with one of the numerous razzle-dazzle tire kits?

Pricey! For sure but no issues and you do get what you pay for. No part of the car effects your safety more than tires. Might want to put the best 4 contact patches your budget will tolerate there.

Perhaps call you local Firestone or GoodYear shop and ask? I am about to do the same thing for our 65 4-4-2 survivor. It has raised white letters; I hate 'em. Needs a thin white stripe for the 14" wheels and dog dish caps. Good luck.
