12 1/4 inch flexplate
My 71 corvette with auto(350/270 hp) was in need of a new flexplate. Went to dealership and was sold a 12 3/4" (#0047529) flexplate. But, when mounting I could not get it to align to the torque converter hole pattern. The broken tooth old flexplate is 14". Did GM use 14" on1971 corvettes with 400 auto transmission also. I'll be going to the dealership monday to buy #00471598. I assumed to much by relying on the dealership Parts department. My fault for not matching before installing
also, could be that a previous owner installed a higher stall speed converter than original 2110 stall speed???
