Its on eBay starting at 13k.
It has some nice original parts. Has an original big block radiator.
If someone buys it and restomods it, hopefully they will put an nice new aluminum rad in it and I could buy the original radiator...
A modified NOM in need of body work and unknown other mechanical repairs, may need some interior work as well. $16K seems way too high IMO. Any rust issues would kill a deal.
I would almost guarantee rust issues. Florida is a terrible place for cars. Heat humidity and tons of rain are a bad combination. I've looked at many Corvettes for sale locally and almost every one has serious birdcage issues. I bought a car in California and had it shipped here. I just couldn't find a rust free chrome bumper car here. I saw that car on CL during my search. I wouldn't has taken the time to look at it, even at the earlier lower price.
A very rough '69 from the pictures. On top of that any repair attempts have not made it any better. I can only imagine what we can't see. A huge money pit that will far exceed what a quality driver can be bought for.
some impulse buy; sight of the car, ooh big block cool parts etc
then once they have had it a week and realize that every piece on that car is old/bad reality sinks in and back on the block it goes.
sure miss the days when they were 20 yrs old and rust wasnt a big issue, many still drove well etc.
For the money C3s are a decent buy, look at what Camaros Chevelles hell even my El Camino bring its nuts. 20-25k in comarison gets you a real nice car. Narrower buying group I guess.
