If you have a telescoping column there is a ring just behind the horn button. Rotate it clockwise (I think) to loosen the telescoping mechanism, slide the wheel to where you want it, and turn the ring to relocate.

There is a tab on the top of the column , right behind the horn ring .

You can see the tab just above the right spoke of the steering wheel.

You should go on line and get an owners manual .
