My lower A Arm got bent when I pressed out the bushing. I did not realize it, and I had it powder coated. The two holes no longer line up and the new bushing will not go into both holes straight. Any suggestions in getting it bent back at the correct angle so the holes will line up? I hate that I going to have to purchase another single bushing and I really hate the thought of purchasing a new lower A Arm since I just had the original power coated.

Do you have a big a$$ vice? Way better than hammer on it! Kind of squeeze it here, and there, flatten this and that! Use some aluminum in the jaws to minimize vice damage. You could throw a few leather strips over the aluminum too!

I have a vice and a press, but neither works. The A arm is slightly bent and the holes do not line-up. So, when you press the bushing though the first hole it does not line up with the second hole. Thus tearing off the rubber and bending the metal on the bushing. According to Volunteer Vette, 19 of 20 they get that are bad is the lower right (passenger) A-arm. They also said they will not accept a A-arm for core if it is bent. These A-arms have a $150 core charge.
This is what I have tried up to date. I put a 3 foot 1 1/4" grade 8 threaded rod through the hole and tried to leverage/pry it straight while anchored in my vice. I'm hoping it is straight enough to get the bushing to line up. The bushing should be arriving on Friday.
Buy a new A-Arm or find a used one on eBay. There is a special Kent Moore tool (fixture) for this procedure in the GM manual. I made one out of 1/4" steel channel.

I have some extra a-arms if you need one send a PM

I wasn't talking of using a vice to press anything in, I was talking about using one to straighten and align the a-arm!!!!!! A picture might help, because I can't see one getting so out of wack that some straightening can't do it, unless accident damaged and you definitely want to make sure there are no cracks. Actually some good ones I have see needed a little tweak here and there.
