76 Header Options

76 Header Options
I have a stock 1976 with the exception of the performer intake and carb. There is no emissions parts on the car, but there is a catalytic converter. I want to remove the stock ram horns and add headers and true dual exhaust out the back. Does anyone know of a good system that bolts on without a bunch of fabrication. Thanks for the assistance.

When I bought my 76, it had headers and a 2-1/2" Flowmaster dual exhaust. I took the headers off and put some aftermarket rams horn manifolds with 2-1/2" collectors. I fabricated the exhaust pipes from mandrel bends and wrapped the pipe from the manifold to the trans crossmember. The heat generated by the headers made the interior extremely warm, and in Houston, that is a problem. Just something to consider.
