1978 l82 silver anniversary
I'm just throwing out some ideas...
1) Could the compressor be seized?
2) Is the engine overheating? When I rehooked up the compressor after a previous owner disconnected it along with an issue I had with the selector switch that had a vacuum leak, I noticed the engine was running really hot. This must have created an air pocket/bubble apparently with my radiator/cooling system that was only an issue when my a/c was engaged. I bled the cooling system while replicating the issue and then poof no problem anymore. Just need to fix my a/c system now though since the clutch won't engage/seems seized.
