Default Help identifying 74 grill mounting hardware

Installing a 74 nose on my 77 when it is in paint and was going to order the needed hardware to get the 74 grills mounted but not clear what all is required.

Anyone have the relevant images of the build manual or personal pictures they could forward to me that details how to attach the grills for a 74?

It looks like the Lower Bumper Reinforcements are needed for the outside grill attachment points, but unsure about the inside of the left and right grills or the center grill mounting.

Thank you!!!

Hi 97C5,
Are you installing a urethane bumper or a rigid fiberglass replacement bumper? That will determine which modifications you may need to make. My 73 (same as the 74) has a fiberglass bumper that was installed poorly by a previous owner. I had to cut away the pre molded FG tabs on it to be be able to mount my grilles to the original mounting points. Lots of manipulation and mods to get the grilles in properly. Still not perfect though.
How are you dealing with the top of the nose area where the front bumper meets the headlight area of the nose? On the 73-74 that line (gap) where they meet is straight across. Starting with the 75 and up the front bumper has a different shape there in the center.
Here are two diagrams from my 73 assembly manual to show installation. The 74 is exactly the same.....
Hope this helps,
Tooch

Perfect, thank you.

Looks like I'm going to need to fab some inner mounting points as my bumpers don't have the tabs I'll need. The outer look to mount with the bumper reinforcements. I didn't realize it was this much work...

I'm installing a fiberglass nose and plan to fiberglass the nose seamless to the front of the car. Will lay in some new fiberglass to cover the notch you're referring to.

Thanks again for pics and diagrams!
