can anybody tell me what a serious asking price is for a completely restored/overhauled 29207DA Rochester Quadrajet for my 69 l46? My original is long gone but I want my Lady as original as possible. Build date from my car is 28th March 1969.
Which date stamp should I look for? Februar or March one? NCRS is important for me.
What is on the car now?
My car has the same carb and I have a service replacement. I certainly would not spend $1300 for the small number of points that a correctly configured and dated carb would bring.

I once bought a carb from that seller and immediately had to send it to Lars to have it fixed properly. It was a mess. Avoid commercially rebuilt carbs.
It ran so rich that a fuel vapor cloud formed behind the car at idle, when I called the seller his advice was to disconnect the vacuum advance to the distributor. WTF?
As for the carb linked, I would expect to see the full number on an original carb (7029207), not just 29207. I would keep looking if I were you.
As for dates, any date that precedes your build date will work, be it 1 week or 6 months.

Many many original L46 carbs for 69 were stamped 29207 DA only. If I see one I would be confident it is not a service replacement.
Just be patient also. I been on a hunt for a 7029215 carb for my 69 L36 to get my project back together. I snagged one on auction for a little over 400 restored (still might send it to get check out and tested before installing), and just recently picked up another one that was really close to my build date March 26 1969 for under 300. I was original trying to make a deal for 1200 on a restored one before it came up.

Thank you very much for your help

one of the most popular carbs out there. served as a replacement well into the 80's. a correctly dated one is another story. The infamous 7040207,(70 L46 version) runs over a grand fully restored. what you want should be way less.
