I rebuilt the steering control valve and first time it did not seal in the middle so leaking as per Willcox video. Did it again and success (or so I thought) It wasn't leaking but it has been 2 months and I notice steering fluid under the car and none in the pump. Underneath the valve adjustment bolt there is a small ball bearing which looks to be some kind of pressure relief? That is where it looks like it is leaking from. Anyone know what this is as no mention in the rebuild video and I would think pressure holds it from leaking? Not looking forward to doing it again but never done right the first time? I had filled and bled the lines and all was good till now.
I rebuilt my original valve twice. Leaked both times about 3 months after each rebuild. Bought a new valve with a lifetime warranty. It leaked and was replaced under warranty 3 times in 2 years. Got tired of working on the steering leaks so bought the borgeson conversion and have had NO leaks since. I know the borgeson is kinda expensive but if your keeping the car it is so worth it in the long run.....

Did it twice and pulled the whole thing out.
I went with Steeroids. No leaks anymore from the steering.
While I was at it, I pulled the oil pan down sand blasted it, painted it and put on a new gasket...no more leaks from the oil pan
While the oil pan was down I changed the rear main seal...no more leaks from the rear main seal.
While I was under the car I pulled the tranny pan down and replaced the filter and the pan gasket, no more leaks from the tranny.
Good luck with that old crappy steering valve, never want to see one again.
