Default MT 2500 and the L83

Hi All
I been spending most of my time over on the C4 forum with my 94 LT1.
But I'm about to pull the trigger on an 82 C3 Collector Edition with a L83. This will be a project car for me. It's been sitting, covered, in a warehouse for many years. I have a Snap On brick that works well on the c4.
Are there any diagnostics connections on the L83? If so, what cartridge and adapter will I need? I'd like to check the codes when I go to look at the car next week.
Thanks a lot!
Bob

The MT 25001097 cartridge (primary GM) along with the GM1 adapter. I have both.
I'll post some photos if we come to terms on the car.

Thanks for the feedback dmaxx. I'm a believer in "you get what you pay for". Behind the Tech 1, I think the mt2500 does a very good job
for these older cars. Couple it with the troubleshooting info and you have a good diagnostics tool.

ok,ive had 2 mt2500's,and use a scanner/programmer[mdi-tech1,tech2,laptop] almost everyday to fix cars/trucks and was a dealer tech for 10 years,i think a mt2500 is so out-dated it really is a ''BRICK''

and whats a ''L83'' engine,,
