How does the bores in the block look?
100 sounds very cheap, could be a forged crank

The balancer is banged up and cracked, didn't see it till I took it apart, does anyone think this is an l79 motor?

Those heads are cast in 62-63 and the block in 68-69 so I think someone have put it together in the past

its a CE block which is an over the counter replacement. It could have been built up to L79 specs. It depends on the cam and the dome on your pistons.

The L79 also had a forged crank shaft and forged pistons. Lou.
