Why won't my seats bolt in?
The spacing on my seats and the spacing on my body are different. Are these Corvette seats? They look like the correct ones to me. I looked in the assembly manual and it shows some extensions at the front of the seat but that doesn't explain why the rear spacing is wrong. Thoughts?
body floor holes for the seat rear mounting holes are 15 1/2" apart and the seat channels are 14" apart (wide).

Was your car originally equipped with the optional power driver's seat? What you have is a power seat, but I'm not certain the rack is Corvette.

I do not believe it is a corvette seat.
I had the power seat out of my 81 just recently, if it was a corvette seat it should have studs on the bottom that pass through the floor.
The seat base also looks wrong.

That is a late C-3 seat. Don't know about the power seat part. The floor pan for the power seat cars was different. So, if you car did not have power seats stock, they will not fit.

My floor pans have capture (welded nuts on bottom) nuts and a bolt goes in from the top - thanks for the replies - these might be worth recovering - I have 3 tracks and I've only checked one but the electrics work on the one I checked
