Needle and seat stuck? Rochester
Hi forum,
I have a 68 L79 with the original engine and a rochester carb that is period correct, but not the original.
I have been having problems tuning the carb, and think that maybe today I found the source of the problem.
In short, when I turn the driver side air mixture screw all the way in (clockwise) it does nothing to the engine. Not even a stutter. On the other hand if I turn the passenger side screw in you can hear the engine start to stutter and die as it gets closer to being completely in.
So my question is: What's the best way to tune this in it's current state? Just use the passenger side to regulate since the driver side seems to not do anything?
What's the fix? Get the carb rebuilt? I just had it rebuilt about 250 miles ago!
Thanks for any advice.

Did You actually remove the mixture screw and inspect it? Try swapping the mixture screws and see if you get the same results.
