Default 1981 corvette

I am new to owning a "classic" car. Learning that corvettes need special attention. I live in the Birmingham area (Pelham specifically), does anyone know of somebody really good to do work on "81 vette, engine, brakes, etc?

You are posting on the C-1/C-2 page. You may get some info, but it's best to post on the C-3 page. Dennis

Moving to C3.

Assuming you mean AL, you should consider also posting in the Regional area.

Welcome Hawkeye, Sure you're not from Iowa? Anyway, I would recommend you join a local club, you'll find out who does the work you need done. If you are thinking you might want to do the work yourself, you need to invest in the AIM, Assembly Instruction Manual and the GM service manual for 1981. All of these can be found on line, ebay for example or the NCRS website. Don't go for the Hanes/Chiltons manual, they lump all C3's into one manual. Good luck, Bill

Thanks Bill. I can't do the work myself, so will take your advice and try to find a local club of sorts.
