Production # of 1970 454 conv. 390 hp auto.
My brother has a '70 and can't find information about how many '70 rag top 454, 390 hp, auto, dark green. We found the number of coupes and converts but they don't break it down further. Can anyone help with this information?

It's possible to extrapolate a decent guess based on known production numbers, but you'll never know for sure. 1970 LS5 convertibles are some of the more desirable C3 cars due to the low production numbers in 1970 and it being the last year of the high compression motors. Google the C3 Registry and enter the car and options there. It will help you with guessing production numbers.

doing a statistical analysis will get you a broad ball park figure.
about 25% car's were big blocks, about a 30% of those were automatics, the 70 corvettte registry sample shows 18% of cars in the registry are green so .25 X .30 X .18 X 6648
= 90
we can guarantee that the number is between 1 and 6648, but a good statistical guess and throwing out other intangibles ( maybe there were more manual transmissions when the car was a big block) is around 90. no way to prove or disprove this...
