Depends on year.....My 72 has what looks like an amp that has to be hooked up as well.....Other than that just hook it to a 12 volt battery and some speakers.....The early units used 10 ohm speakers.

Of course there is. I used to own a consumer electronics store. Part of the business was car audio (& CB radios, [just dated myself ]. We had a bench power supply but a battery will work just fine. You need some knowledge to do it. You need to know which wires to hook to what.
Ground can generally (but not always) be hooked to the metal case. Power is generally a larger red wire. Speakers or preamp out put can be any color. Post which radio we are talking about and pictures if possible. Someone here knows.
