The red car has been all over the internet the last couple of days with 99% of the comments being negative. If the owner/builder wanted to make a car that would start a discussion they definitely succeeded. I would love to see the half shaft angles.
Its fake but not crap plastic, its heavy cast aluminum,
For a spell several years ago i was collecting old weird car parts and have several funky air cleaners,
Heres a bigger one,
Total fake, if i had a rat t bucket i would run it....
Actually seen one of these at a garage sale last summer. Guy died and his son was selling off all the car stuff. He bragged to me that these were originally used a FI engine. I laughed and told him to do a little research before putting a $500 price tag on something he knew nothing about.
Putting fake crap on your car to impress people is nonsense.
The owner of red car in the OP post should invest in some John Deere tractor tires for more ground clearance.

No, never was real injection in anyway,
I collect this old school stuff because i find it cool for what it is,
If i ran it on a rat bucket it would be for fun, not to impress,
They are rare,
500, no. But mine as pictured would get 300 fast on ebay 400 if i held out,
This junk has fans, my aluminum cal custom shaker gets 200 all the time,
I just find this old stuff fun to collect,
I must be such a weirdo. I think the red car is cool and fun to look at.
Who wants to go to a car show and look at the same boring stock stuff?
Not me. - I applaud the creative spirit.
Red car owner - you rock.
I can find stuff tacky, down right fugly yet enjoy it,
I enjoy how fast guys get so hot over status donks,
I dont believe its all casual racism, it does get some traditional gear heads angry to see what they considered a great car ruined,
No different than a purist here saying i ruined my 69 flaring it etc
From: PHOENIX, AZ Yes, it's true. You are a good woman. Then again, you may be the Antichrist.
In regards to customizations, I'm very much In the camp of "function over form". If it doesn't work right, I don't care how good or bad it looks.
There's no way the red vette's front wheels don't rub when turning, or when the suspension cycles, so that's 3 strikes as far as I'm concerned.
I'm reminded of the monster truck craze in the early eighties. Lifted trucks were going as high as possible and were running as many shocks as they could fit on each axle. They rode like crap.

I admit i would love to have a cat take me for a drive in a car like that vette,
I see status donks driving down the rode that i swear i would have bet they couldn't drive and steer,
Me, I don't see much creativity in "Let's put gigantic wheels on it and make it look stupid"
I want to see nice looking cars at a car show, not goofy looking ones.
Not so much the red car, as its big eye catcher is the huge wheels no one ran in the 70, 80s its a modern custom, not my cup o tea at all,
but the yellow 68 69?
It screms 70s circuit show car, and even ones i dont like i enjoy looking at
