When I replaced my steering wheel, I foolishly chose to replace the AGED horn button. The interior color (camel/tan) metal ring was marked and the plastic insignia was scratched and faded.

What was I thinking?!?

I have since purchased and destroyed two (2) of the fragile metal rings and plastic insignia trying to attach them to the back of the replacement camel/tan horn button/ring.

So, if I wanted an ASSEMBLED horn button/insignia/retaining ring, who sells them? Everywhere I look, I must buy the separate pieces.

Assembly IMPOSSIBLE!!! I'm getting too old for this...

Try Corvette America, PN 2497. But confirm it is the complete assembly.

both kits are unassembled. I've wasted two of those plastic buttons now (they crack/break way too easy).

I replaced my last year when I had the column rebuilt. I know it came assembled. Pretty sure I got it from Ecklers. I check their site and no go on one assembled. If see if I can find the receipt and let you know. Good luck.

Found at JBcorvette supplies on eBay of all places. It is black so I have to mask off the emblem, sand/paint the ring but no more fighting a losing battle trying to assemble.

Correction: It was PICTURED assembled but when it arrived, it was not. Almost a year later and I am going to try assembling another set of $50 pieces. The new retaining ring and plastic center are way too fragile compared to original items.
