Just changed my tires and found out that 3 of the 4 center caps are chromed plastic. I checked with Eckler on metal replacements, but all they carry are chromed plastic ones. Other than Ebay is there someone who sells metal chromed? Thanks, Mark
Good luck on finding any. Plastic because they can snap into place. At one time, bought some metai spinners that were held in place with set screws. Ultimately let go and I lose then, one or so at a time. I guess I could have used clear silicone caulk to hold them in place, which is what was done by the tire store for the plastic caps.

Thanks Larry. Mine were held in with clear silicone. I guess I will re-install them.

The silicone was usually placed on the caps before installed to keep them from falling off and rattling.. The glue is not factory and new caps probably won't rattle.
Years ago there were aluminum caps with spinners that were held on screws... I thought I was smart and put them on with Allen screws(more torque when tightening). I had a set on my old 79...
But.... if you tugged on them hard enough you could just pull them right off which for some reason seemed to attract thieves... I replaced them probably 3 times before I just bailed on it and went back to the stock caps.
