Melting Slicks
Hello Ralph,
That's looks like a very nice, relatively untouched/unrestored, very complete engine compartment. Exactly what I personally like to see and can fully appreciate.
Thank you for the pic,
Ed

I am sure I have pictures of paperwork for various 435 automatics for 1969.
What specifically would you like to see?
All late built 69s will have variations in GM paperwork that is different than earlier cars after a certain period. So comparing your cars paperwork to one built in let's say February will show different things. Paperwork such as tank stickers and window stickers actually changed several times during the 69 Corvette run with regard to both format and information found on them.

It does not have the smog pump. I purchased it from a friend who bought it and had it restored in the mid nineties. From what he told me, the original owner was from Pennsylvania, and ordered the car for drag racing. The original motor was blown when he got it, and it has a replacement block with original heads, intake and carbs. There is only about 40,000 miles on the odometer, which I believe is correct. No power steering or brakes, power windows. Original interior was gray, changed to red when he did the restoration. Unfortunately, I don't have any paperwork. Gas tank was swapped out by the original owner so no tank sticker. Turns lots of heads, burns lots of gas, and is faster than I care to drive it!

I've got three other collector cars: 64 Corvette convertible, 66 GTO convertible, and a 70 Chevelle SS coupe. All three are stick shift, and I love driving them, but my favorite is the 69. Side pipes sound terrific and since most of my driving is weekends around town, the automatic is nice for a change.
