They had 2 Corvettes at the time. This one and a blue small block with side exhaust. At that time side exhaust wasn't legal for Pa inspection. So home came the gold big block. And to think, he went there looking to buy an XKE.

They sound nice too...really LOUD! Only 4,355 out of 38,762 (11.2%) left the factory that way in 1969. This is one of them. No other C3s ever had the option.
This is a really nice thread that allows people to see everything from stock to modify. The colors and creativeness lends itself to people who can pick and choose what their interests are. Gives someone a lot of ideas for sure.
