My 73 coupe is almost ready to come out of the paint shop and I need help with the front bumper cover install. The original urethane bumper is in very good shape and is being re-installed, but I am not sure where the two 3 ft. long rubber strips under the cover are supposed to be mounted. These strips go on the metal "under bumper" in the picture, but I do not know if they go on the very front vertical surface or on the 45 degree surface. Any advice or better yet, pictures would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
It goes on the front flat edge. I don't have a photo of mine when I replaced my bumper. Here is the AIM image with the strip called filler (#10) on the front edge.
Found this photo, you can see the rubber strip on the front of the steel support in front.
