I need to install one of the adjustable resistors on the temperature gauge of my 73 and was looking online and noticed that the resistor sold by corvette central states it will only work for gauges that read higher than the actual temperature. My gauge reads lower thus this resistor will not work. Does anyone know if the resistor sold by Willcox will work on a gauge that is reading lower than the actual temperature?

I went to order the adjustable resistor for my 73 temperature gauge from Willcox and realized they want almost $20.00 for shipping. Seems a bit high for something that could be placed in an envelope and sent through USPS for the cost of a stamp. Must be a better way.

Call it in to sales, we can ship it first class and it'll be around 7.95. (With the UPS and USPS changes we're having problems on the site with small items, we're working on this right now trying to get it corrected, larger orders are not having any issues, just the smaller ones). So give sales a call and they fix you up... or go to ebay and buy one...
The adjustable resistor can and will take the gauge needle in both directions. The one sold by CC won't do that. Our resistor is the only way to change equally the non linear scale of the gauge in a linear fashion... (hope that makes sense) because it changes the inner resistance of the actual gauge not the input.
