No. It was a 1-year 1-model (Corvette) only.

they were both 454 solid lifer motors
the chevelle was rated at 450 HP iron heads and higher rise intake
the LS6 vet was rated at 425 with aluminum heads
I would think the chevelle would out run the vet

I always thought it odd that GM offered the 450 hp LS6 in the 70 chevelle but not the 70 Corvette.
