1978 350 sb, carb is tired, should the Q-jet be rebuilt or replaced, if replaced with what ,Holly, Elednbrock or?
L82 with headers and sidepipes, no work done to engine that I can see other than pollution stuff removed.
i would stay stock roch.
even so, it is a money thing.

it came be rebuilt.

The Qjet is real easy to rebuild if you have moderate or better skills. Get a good kit from quadrajetparts.com, NAPA or a speed shop and go at it. No special tools required and you will learn a lot from the experience. If you would rather have it done professionally then Lars, on this forum, may have the time to do it if you ask.

you don't need a new crb, IMO, you just need it overhauled if no one has monkeyed with it, (like tried to upgrade it, or put in larger jets etc). A rebuild at least is in order, if the carb is the problem. What makes you think the carb is the problem????
