Default 1974 horn button removal?

Anyone know the procedure for removing the stock plastic horn button from the stock 1974 steering wheel?

I'm picking up a wood rimmed aftermarket steering wheel and I want to check out the stock bolt pattern to see if I can fashion an adapter or maybe re-drill the aftermarket wheel to match up with the stock pattern.

Thanks—

The horn button is metal and it pulls off. If your aftermarket wheel is meant to fit C3s, you shouldn't have to make any mods to it.

Mine won't budge using my hand, won;t rotate or anything like that. Is it OK to wedge a screwdriver under the gap and pry up on it? Feels like plastic but might be pot metal, don't want to crack it getting it off.

Thanks—
