Default Fusible link wire

Does anyone have a source for 20 ga fusible link wire?
The original at the horn relay for my 69 is orange color. But the ONLY 20 ga that I can find is at Summit racing is black. I've checked all the local auto parts stores, ebay, Amazon, the local electrical parts store, etc.
I only need 6", so I don't want to buy a full spool.

Your local parts stores should have it packaged in 6 or 8 inch lengths. Usually with all the other fuses.
I know I have purchased it locally. I don't think anyone sells a whole spool of it, you'd never use it all.

I just re-read your post, are you more concerned with getting "Orange" fusible link? If so, then you might have a problem. I think all the fusible link I've bought has been brown. Color shouldn't matter unless you're going for judging.

Yes, getting orange is not going to happen.
Getting 18ga and larger is not a problem, but 20ga is a problem. Apparently, a real oddball application.
I've only found 20ga at Summit. I'd rather not pay $3 plus $6 shipping for 6" of wire.

Yes, that sounds pretty extreme for a bit of wire.

Default try this....

about 8 bucks with free shipping. That 20 gauge fusible link is an odd one.
OR
You can search around for the Pico part number: PICO 5557PT

You can try painting it orange. I suggest Testors enamel (not acrylic) paint in the small glass jar. $1.99 at Ace Hardware or Michael's Craft Stores. It seems pretty close to the orange wire color.

OK, got a 10' roll from Napa for $7. It didn't show on their web site, but they did have it in a paper catalog at the store. Now I'm set for the next 1000 yrs.
If anyone need a piece, you can send me a addressed and stamped envelope and I'll send you a piece.

That's quite the good deal. Kinda the like the container of 5 gallons of 20 wt oil somebody dumped on the side of the road that I found. I'll never have to buy 3-in-1 Oil again.....
