Sorry. I misunderstood. I've no idea what they might have used between the inserts and the paintable frame. Plasticfreak recently sold a pair to Johnny K. Johnny might be able to answer your question.

Yes I did buy those. A very nice set too. The glass appears to be set in urethane I do not see any gaskets around the glass. I can take a picture of them if you need.

not sure maybe a glass vendor /installer could help. I can check on that. I don't know if acrylic latex caulk dries hard.
I was surprised it was hard,I would have thought the glass would float a bit and would have been urethane.

Maybe Wilcox will chime in here or Dub.

chair so its hard for me. I just bought some moon roofs from
a guy on here, they look like new but has one place on the glass
that's not sealed well.
you have been a great help, thanks for that

Thanks for all your help, my sealant is not rock hard, if I push on
it with my finger tip it does push in and is a bit sticky
Over time it will harden for sure. Are you doing this for originality? As in, you want the exact correct stuff they used from the factory?
If not, the same stuff that the local glass places use to seal a new windshield would work just fine. I would call your local safelite, etc and ask them what they use. it comes in a big caulk tube...
