Since I'm so close to finishing my 68 BB coupe restoration, I've started collecting my leftover/surplus parts to sell them. For some reason I have what looks like a spare heater box. Can you please take a look at these pics and tell me what it might be for? When I google pics of 68 heater boxes, it looks like it could be for a 68 with AC. But it doesn't look exactly like one (notable difference is the switch with a plastic connector that looks like 3 vacuum hoses would connect to.
The only number I see on it is actually inside of it, and it is 3047106, with "HRM" under it. Any ideas?
The white plastic "Air Diverter Door Actuator" is worth a pretty penny. Originals are extremely hard to find if at all.
Not anymore.. I made it.. a few weeks ago... and out of a stronger plastic...
While it's not white, we agreed to run them on whatever color was in production at the time (keeps the cost down). So it might be green, blue white or black when you get it... but it's a better product than the original and is being sent out to other vendors last week so it should be available from any vendor of choice soon.

The box in your picture is from a 1980-1982 car. The hot water shut off valve is the clue.
This valve was different for the 1977-1979 cars and then the 1980-1982 cars used the valve in your picture.. (which if working is quite hard to find at the moment). http://repairs.willcoxcorvette.com/1...hut-off-valve/

This part can't seen once installed. The one I made is a stronger plastic than GM used and will not break.
The color, I guess I could make them out of white but I'm not going to because you can't see this part when installed in any way shape or form and it will work and perform better than the original. And it's made here.. in the USA!
