Default Francis Williams

Has anyone on here heard of or dealt with a man named Francis Williams that lives in Georgia. He answered my want to buy ad but did not seem on the up and up with my questions and he did not want to use pay pal, Western Union only. I don't like paypal either but I offered to pay the paypal fee. Just curious if he had reached out to others. Dennis

Lots of scams out there now a days done through western union. Paypal you are covered alot of times. Not saying he is shady or anything. What is he selling you or are you selling something?

Yeah the Western Union thing is a huge red flag for me. That's a non starter anytime I'm dealing with anyone.

I posted a want to buy Slot Mags on here. He sent pictures of slot mags I had seen on the internet when I did searches for Slot Mags. I asked if he bought them off of ebay or had them listed at one time. Language was hard to understand and got worse when asked direct questions. Was just curious, figured if he was for real he would blow a gasket when reading this. I know he is lurking on here because he saw my add. I googled his number and he has a different name selling some motor cycles. I will buy some new ones from US Mags. Dennis

When buying anything outside of stores/auctions. I always look for non generic pictures and a phone number to talk to someone no text. Or ask for a picture with a different viewing angle of the item. Everyone uses paypal nowadays especially if they are selling something to someone that isnt local.

You don't have to pay a fee by the way. If you have him send you money as a friend, there is no fee. When you classify it as an exchange of goods
is when you will pay a fee.

But you might not be covered that way. To compensate for that, just make sure any money that was sent has been deposited into your bank account. Takes 2-3 days. Tell him you won't send the title until then.

If anyone asks you wire money aka Western Union, run, don't walk, in the other direction.

Same with Walmart money grams. They are for sending money to someone you know, which means you are giving it away and expecting nothing in return anyway...
