Clutch Pedal
I recently had a new clutch installed in my 80 model Corvette. Now the clutch pedal sticks out much futher than it did before and much further than the brake pedal. Any comments on what happened and what to do to fix it?? Thanks.

How much free play do you have . It sounds like it needs adjusted as your old clutch wore out the adjustment rod was probably at the end of adjustment so with the new clutch it would push the pedal up more because of the extra meat on the clutch. On the clutch rod there are two nuts that need to be backed off and readjusted with the right free play 1/2" to 1" .

again, if your clutch pedal is way further forward than your brake check under the dash where it hits the substructure down there, there should be a rubber bumper like the one i posted.
if its missing or smashed down too far the clutch will return much further than it should.
