We have a 1972 Coupe, 350 with TH400, completely stock, matching number car.
Just used for cruising.
Will be refurbishing the heads soon and was thinking of slapping in a set of headers, any recomends for this combo?

There are some good brand headers out there. Just be certain to get them with ceramic coating on them. This reduces the underhood temperatures as well as adding a great finish.
I can recommend the Hooker 2456 header. They have small diameter primary tubes designed for stock to slightly modified vehicles. The headers fit well and do not take much time to install. They have good ground clearance also.
There are other brands which are considerably more expensive and offer different finishes and metal quality. Let my brothers give you their opinions now. I have seen some really nice quality headers here on other member's cars.

I have Hooker Super Comp headers on my '79. They've been there over 20 years. Fit is perfect and I had them ceramic coated about ten years ago. I have heard Hooker's quality control has deteriorated in the last few years, but mine have been good.
I just bought my Hooker competition headers, not the super comp. They fit with no issues. Good plug clearance as well as ground clearance. I bought the painted not ceramic but I am having them coated inside and out. Cost is $250 to coat them locally. Don't forget you will have to do a custom connection to you intermediate pipes but not really a big deal.
