How about leave it? How big is it? Is it in your field of view? I have a couple of small stone chips in my original '77 windshield, one in my field of view. The windshield is otherwise crystal clear. I'd certainly never consider replacing it.

Especially if it is still the original windshield. The originals are quite a bit thicker than current replacements, and this difference can create many problems with the fit of all the surrounding trim.
How is the frame? I decided to dye the interior and after removing the upper windshield header piece, found some rust on the underside of the frame. Hard to ignore and the original windshield had to come out...in pieces.
My wife got a stone chip right in her field of vision on the drivers side of her 78. She took it over to the local auto glass place and they did a chip repair on it for about 25 bucks. You can't even see where it was done like with some of the "home" kits advertised on the internet.

That's what I was just about to ask. Maybe I'll stop by a glass place the next time I have a few minutes.
