Default Door glass install sequence?

I am ready to install the door glass on my 69
I have searched high and low for the right sequence to do that in
I have read the 30 minute thread and still don't understand it because both the window and the door mechanisms look different than mine
Can someone point me in the right direction?

I have the windows ready
I have all the guts in the door loosely installed

Thanks

Glenn, I guess you have not been to my 69 post. I show how to install the glass and the troubles I had. Please check it out in the general section. RVZIO69 Restore. Maybe it will help you

Thanks for the heads up, but your 69 is the early design and mine is the late 69

Corvette Central has a good guide for window glass service.

I dunno how helpful an 82 with power will be for your needs.

I just went through this for replacing my motors on both windows, cleaning/re-greasing tracks, and replacing hardware/bumpers/etc.
  1. Install both vertical tracks with bottom bumpers
  2. Install the regulator assembly
  3. Install the rear roller on the vertical track
  4. Install the horizontal window track onto the regulator rollers and rear roller
  5. Install exterior window felt strip
  6. Install Window by placing window track roller inside of front vertical track. You will want to use a putty knife to protect the exterior felt strip from the window hardware.
  7. Rotate the window into the door frame
  8. Gently lower the window to align the horizontal track with the window mounting hardware and install the window to the track (may need to operate the regulator for alignment
  9. Install the felt window bumpers/guides at the top of the door frame
  10. Operate window to top position to install the upper bumpers on the vertical track
  11. Begin aligning the window by utilizing the track mounting screws

Is there any advice/technique for installing the inner felt/seal assembly? It looks like everyone does it after the exterior felts and window are in place. This makes for a tight fit to install the new inner felt/seal assy and it bends fairly easily.

Yes I know I just resurrected an old thread

^ yes after glass is in, you have to temporarily lower the window stops so that the glass will recede further down into the door, then you have room to install your outer felts.
