69 Seatback reinstall question
Spent the day stripping my old seat and refoaming and recovering one of my seats. My question is, how do I slide the Premolded seatback in the two “guides”, or whatever the are called? The new vinyl covers them.

Yes, the 2 slits need to be cut. I believe the Corvette America videos shows this. You have to be careful sliding on the hard seat back as the clips can have very sharp edges. I deburred mine with a file to avoid scratching the new vinyl. It's easy to tear them up if the edges are sharp.

Thanks! I was watching an older video and it didnt show making the slits in that brand new seat. I think I am over the nerves part with all the tugging, stretching, pulling, heat, etc!

how did your fingers hold up.....we could only do one seat per weekend
some guys put the seat covers in the dryer to warm them up and then pull them on

Yesterday they were extremely sore! It was really hot this weekend, so they sat outside till I needed them. Helped a ton! I need to take a heat gun to them to smooth the wrinkles out, and finish the one side up. The other seat I will tackle this weekend.
