Default LS conversion suspension considerations

How are those of you that have done LS conversions changing the suspension setup, e.g. spring rates and such? I put a VB&P touring kit on my '69 20+ years ago and love how it handles and rides. If I get the same kit from vansteel should it work about the same with the lighter LS motor, or should I get different front springs/shocks etc?
