Accuracy of "Corvette DNA" app
According to the info in this app, a majority of the Corvettes on the market seem overpriced.
I know there's a difference between asking price and selling price, but when I look around, I see more than a couple $19K - $21K cars on the market for much more.
I like this tool, but how accurate is it?

I just played around with it. Checked 2 different years, found one way too high, the other way too low. Found some options very inaccurately valued, other important items unaccounted for at all.
I wouldn’t use it.

I find the value in the Corvette DNA app is not so much in the dollar values given, but that it allows you to plug in which options were available in which combinations.
A simple example is you can select known engine and transmission options and quickly see which rear end gears were available.
The app contains all the info from the Black Book, which everyone raves about and more, but for some reason certain folks get hung up on the value guide lines and dis the app. That app contains a huge amount of knowledge which is instantly available at your fingertips.
As far as the apps dollar values are concerned it's as hit and miss as any other guide or person trying to value a 50 year old car sight unseen.
YMMV

Could someone post a link to the app?

Can you link a phone app?
If you have an iPhone just go to the App Store and download it. It's free.
The most annoying thing to me on the app is the high mileage designation.
Average miles on a 1953 vehicle is no more than 50,000 miles?
75000 is VERY high miles?
And like vettebuyer says- is there really no value in leather seats, or a tilt/tele column?
They have significant value on the hagerty price guide.

And when I compare prices between corvette DNA and hagerty I end up using for condition "excellent" on DNA but "3" on hagerty. That gets the price within a couple grand of each other.

Agreed about he mileage issue. 99% of these cars fall in the very high mileage range. I think they are incorrect in that. So I adjust it to average mileage to get a more realistic number. This app, I think is better than the others, but like everything else it is just another tool, nothing more!! Ike
