My dad just passed in march. We started restoring his vette before he died. Im having a hard time even looking at it. The guy he bought it from did a number on him ripped him off he just wanted the vette so bad he was a grease monkey all his life just was to far gone to think it trough and actually check it out before he bought it . Im doing this on my own so far i got the inside torn out got to replace the rig job the guy did bent sheet metal a rivits . Not to hard. Finding parts is another issue. Got 3 lover seat belt bolts stripped i guess the guy just didnt care to do a good job.

Sorry to hear about your father, what better way to honor him than to restore his dream car! I’m sure he will be with you in spirit every step of the way. You have come to the right place by joining this forum. It’s has really helped me with my 82.
Sorry to hear that. I have an 80 and my interior was a mess when I got it, redid the whole thing. Reupholstered the seats, installed new seat belts, dash, etc. I should be able to help you out when you post on here. Restoring it is a great way to remember him.
