Default will it fit?

good afternoon y'all
i'm a new guy here, been doing BBC stuff since i was in my twenties.
i currently have '64 impala 2dr hdtp, 454 THM400 9 inch
i picked up a '79 vette roller a few weeks ago.
i already had a '69 396 long block and lots of accessories.
the 79 of course has a SBC radiator.
i got a line on a 68 - 72 BBC automatic vette radiator.
will it fit in the 79? the size is just a bit more than an inch wider.
thank you for your help

Without going into each little difference year to year,
A bb corvette had a different larger radiator support,

It might take modifcation but it can fit,

in the case of my 69 i have an aftermarket aluminum radiator small block size for my bb,
It will cool it....

And if you aren't concerned about originality under the hood you can fabricate a radiator support to fit a new radiator into the opening.

thank you for your interest .
my 396, for whatever reason always ran hotter that i was happy with, hence my wanting to get the right radiator the first time.
i just took a look at radiator prices.
by comparison, i'm thinking a new aluminum radiator might be the right choice.
i also have an electric fan that came with the 454 that's in my impala.
i think i'm gonna use it , too.
thank you for the input
have a pleasant evening

And if you were considering that, chevy big block truck 98 or so radiators are real close. And have an engine oil cooler in the left tank. L29, Vortec 7400.
